This plugin is the WordPress side of that connection. **What the plugin does** * Creates each article as a native block post — headings, lists, tables, quotes and images as real Gutenberg blocks you can edit. * Downloads every image into **your** media library, sets the alt text and the featured image. No hot-linking. * Writes the SEO title, meta description, focus keyphrase and social image into** Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or The SEO Framework** when one is active. Without an SEO plugin it renders the title, description, Open Graph tags and structured data itself. * Updates a published article in place when Sightkick refreshes it — same post, same URL. * Serves your IndexNow key file so search engines are told about new and updated URLs. * Only ever touches posts it created. Your existing posts are never modified. **How it connects** Install and activate the plugin, then open _Settings Sightkick_ and copy the token. In Sightkick, go to _Settings Integrations WordPress_, paste the token and your site address, pick a default author and category, and connect. The plugin never contacts sightkick.so on its own; Sightkick calls the plugin’s authenticated REST endpoint (`/wp-json/sightkick/v1/`) when it publishes or updates an article. **Service disclosure** This plugin is a connector for the Sightkick service (https://sightkick.so), which requires an account. Sightkick sends article content (text, image URLs, metadata) to your site and reads back the list of posts it created. Nothing else is transmitted. Open _Settings Sightkick_ and copy the token. 3. In Sightkick, open _Settings Integrations_, choose WordPress, paste the token and your site address, and connect. ## FAQ ### Does the plugin change my existing posts? No. It only creates new posts and updates the ones it created (they carry a hidden Sightkick article id). ### Will it work with Yoast SEO / Rank Math / AIOSEO? Yes. The plugin detects the active SEO plugin and writes the SEO title, meta description, focus keyphrase and social image into its fields. Their own structured data stays in charge; Sightkick adds only FAQ and list schema on top. ### What if I use a page builder? Articles are created as standard block posts. If your builder’s theme templates control single posts, they will render the post content as usual. ### Is the token a secret? Yes — anyone holding it can publish to your site. You can regenerate it under _Settings Sightkick_, which disconnects Sightkick until you paste the new one. ### Does the plugin send data to Sightkick? No. All requests are inbound from the service; the plugin only responds to them.
