Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard 2. Search for ‘simple event listing’ 3. Click ‘Install Now’ 4. Activate the plugin on the Plugin dashboard ### Uploading in WordPress Dashboard 1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard 2. Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area 3. Select `simple-event-listing.zip` from your computer 4. Click ‘Install Now’ 5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard ## FAQ ### How do I add a new event? In the WordPress admin, navigate to Events, then click the Add New button. ### How do I edit an event? Find the event you wish to edit, then click the pencil icon. Make any changes you need to make then click Save. ### How do I save a draft of an event without displaying it on the site? If you want to save your work, but you’re not yet ready to show your event to the world, just click the eye icon on your event. You’ll see the eye icon change and the event will fade a bit to indicate that it’s a draft. ### How do I delete an event? Find the event you wish to delete, then click the x icon. You’ll be prompted with a confirmation box to ensure you don’t accidentally delete any events. ### How do I display the list of events? You can use the `[simple_event_listing]` shortcode, or you may use the Simple Event Listing widget. ### How do I customize the events template? Inside the plugin directory, find the templates folder and copy event-listing.php to your theme/child theme. Customize the template in your theme.
