### What are the recommended character lengths?

Yes! The plugin fully supports WooCommerce products and is compatible with HPOS (
High-Performance Order Storage).
### Which image formats are supported for Social Media?
**JPG and PNG** are the recommended formats for og:image. LinkedIn and XING support
only JPG and PNG reliably. WebP and AVIF may cause issues on these platforms – LinkedIn
may show no preview image or only a tiny thumbnail. The plugin automatically converts
WebP and AVIF images to JPG for maximum compatibility across all social media platforms.

#### 1.9.8 – 24.08.2026
**Fix: a stray static sitemap.xml or robots.txt file on the server could silently
shadow this plugin’s output forever, with no error and no way to notice — plus the
human-readable sitemap.xsl view always rendered in English regardless of the site’s
actual language.**
* Fix: WordPress only routes /sitemap.xml, /sitemap.xsl and /
robots.txt through PHP when no physical file of that name exists in the document
root — its own rewrite rule explicitly skips real files. A leftover static file
from an old SEO plugin, a migration or a manual upload silently wins every time,
forever: noindex rules, sitemap exclusions and the 1.9.7 robots.txt Sitemap: line
all become no-ops, with no error anywhere, because the plugin’s PHP code never runs
for that request at all. The plugin now writes its own .htaccess rewrite rule (Apache
only) that forces these three paths through index.php unconditionally, regardless
of what’s on disk. Written once automatically on activation and on first boot after
this update — no manual step needed on Apache hosts. * Fix: `` was
hardcoded in the sitemap.xsl stylesheet, always — no site’s actual language was
ever reflected, even on fully translated German/French/etc. installs. Now uses the
site’s real language (`get_bloginfo( 'language' )`). * Fix: The visible text on
that page (column headers, intro sentence, “Total URLs:”) could stay in English
even on a correctly-configured non-English site, because a translation set already
registered for this plugin’s text domain earlier in the request (e.g. WordPress’
own “just in time” loader) made this plugin’s own explicit `load_textdomain()` call
a silent no-op. `unload_textdomain()` now runs first, so this plugin’s own bundled
translation always wins outright instead of possibly being skipped as “already loaded”.*
Note: If a stray sitemap.xml/robots.txt already exists on your server, this fix
makes it harmless (it can no longer be served), but removing it via FTP is still
good hygiene.
