## Descrizione

[Toombler](https://toombler.com) turns a PDF you already store in **Google Drive,
Dropbox or OneDrive** into a smooth, interactive page-flip viewer that looks great
on any device. A shared Google Doc or Google Slides deck works too, without exporting
it to PDF first. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is copied: Toombler reads the file
from the share link you already have, so the document stays where you put it. Embed
a flipbook on any post or page in seconds.

**Shortcode usage:**

    ```

Get your File ID from your Toombler dashboard (⚙ Configure & Embed  copy the `id
=` value from the embed URL).

**All shortcode parameters:**

 * `id` (required) — file ID from your Toombler dashboard (same value whichever 
   cloud the PDF lives in)
 * `width` — embed width in px (default: 760)
 * `height` — embed height in px (default: 540)
 * `nav` — navigation arrows: 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `counter` — page counter: 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `sound` — page-flip sound: 1/0 (default: 0)
 * `flipsound` — which flip sound: 1 / 2 (default: 1)
 * `autoplay` — auto-play: 1/0 (default: 0)
 * `autospeed` — auto-play seconds per page: 1–60 (default: 3)
 * `dl` — download button: 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `fs` — fullscreen button: 1/0 (default: 0)
 * `bg` — background colour: dark / light / transparent (default: dark)
 * `start` — start page (default: 1)
 * `bookmark` — remember page per visitor: 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `zoom` — allow zoom: 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `drag` — allow corner drag: 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `thumbs` — thumbnail strip: 1/0 (default: 0)
 * `duration` — flip animation in ms: 100–3000 (default: 650)
 * `spine` — spine shadow (centre glow): 1/0 (default: 0)
 * `borderless` — no rounded corners: 1/0 (default: 0)
 * `adreplace` — replace page 2 with the short “Made with Toombler” page instead
   of inserting it: 1/0 (default: 0)
 * `closed` — start with a closed book (cover only): 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `hardcover` — rigid front & back cover: 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `corners` — show hover corner curl: 1/0 (default: 1)
 * `mscroll` — mobile scroll (swipe to scroll, not flip): 1/0 (default: 0)
 * `speak` — read-aloud button (uses the reader’s own browser voice): 1/0 (default:
   0)
 * `bbtext` — text of a button on the back cover, max. 60 characters, e.g. `bbtext
   ="Book a table"` (default: empty = no button)
 * `bburl` — where that button goes; must start with `https://`, `mailto:` or `tel:`(
   default: empty = no button)
 * `text` — show an accessible, collapsible text version below the flipbook (good
   for SEO): 1/0 (default: 0)

**External service:**

This plugin embeds content from **toombler.com**. The flipbook viewer is loaded 
in an `<iframe>` from `https://toombler.com/embed`. When you enable the optional
text version (`text="1"` or the “Show accessible text version” block toggle), the
plugin also requests the document’s plain text from `https://toombler.com/api/text`
and caches it locally; only your flipbook’s File ID is sent, and the response contains
your document’s own text. By using this plugin you agree to the [Toombler Terms of Service](https://toombler.com/terms)
and [Privacy Policy](https://toombler.com/privacy). A free Toombler account is required
to create flipbooks.

## Installazione

 1. In WordPress admin, go to **Plugins  Add New  Upload Plugin** and upload the `toombler.
    zip` file, or search for “Toombler” in the plugin directory.
 2. Click **Activate**.
 3. Add the **Toombler Flipbook** block from the block inserter, or use the shortcode`[
    toombler id="YOUR_FILE_ID"]` in any post or page.
 4. Your File ID can be found in your [Toombler dashboard](https://toombler.com/app)
    under ⚙ Configure & Embed.

## FAQ

### Where do I get my File ID?

Log in at [toombler.com/app](https://toombler.com/app), open the settings panel 
for your flipbook (⚙ icon), click “Configure & Embed”, and copy the value after `
id=` in the embed URL.

### Do I need a Toombler account?

Yes. You need a free Toombler account to link a PDF from Google Drive, Dropbox or
OneDrive and get a File ID. Create one at [toombler.com](https://toombler.com). 
You are not uploading the PDF — Toombler only stores the share link.

### Is the flipbook stored on my server?

No. Toombler hosts the flipbook viewer. This plugin simply embeds it via an iframe.
Your PDF is served through Toombler’s infrastructure.

### Does this plugin collect any data?

The plugin itself sets no cookies and collects no data. The embedded Toombler viewer
may record anonymous page-view counts. See the [Toombler Privacy Policy](https://toombler.com/privacy)

### Does it work with page builders?

Yes. Use the shortcode `[toombler id="…"]` in any page builder that supports shortcodes(
Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, etc.).

 * New: a read-aloud button for the reader (`speak="1"`, or the toggle in the block).
   It uses the voices already on the reader’s device; no text leaves the browser.
 * New: your own button on the flipbook’s back page, such as “Book a table” with
   your link (`bbtext` and `bburl`, or the “Back page button” panel in the block).
   Only https, mailto and tel links are accepted.
 * Google Docs and Google Slides now work as a source on the Toombler side; the 
   plugin needs nothing for that, but the readme says so.
 * The block editor no longer calls the inside-cover page an advertisement.

 * Fixed: the plugin said “Google Drive” in four places while Toombler has supported
   Dropbox and OneDrive for months. The block editor labelled the field “Google 
   Drive File ID”, so anyone using another cloud had every reason to think this

   says about itself.

 * Fixed: the `brand` and `rtl` attributes were generated by the Toombler dashboard
   but not accepted by the plugin, so WordPress silently dropped them. A right-to-
   left book (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian) turned pages the wrong way, and a disabled“
   Powered by Toombler” badge reappeared. Both now work, and both are available 
   as toggles in the block editor.

   copied and read by screen readers instead of being just an image.
 * Both features run entirely in the reader’s browser — no text is uploaded or stored.
 * Scanned documents without a text layer are unaffected: the search box will simply
   find nothing.
