How to modify menu items from external function

Hi, I’m trying to edit menu items from an external system … Obviously I have included the “wp-load.php” to use the wordpress functions.

I can get all the menu items back easily with the wp_get_nav_menu_items() function, but I don’t understand how to change them … If for example I wanted to change the link of a menu item, what should I do?
