Mailgo project and this plugin are deprecated and not maintained anymore

Instead of the classic behaviour of mailto and tel links, mailgo will show a modal with more possibilities!

For mailto: links there is the possibility to open Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail or copy the email address

For tel: links you can open Telegram, WhatsApp, Skype or copy the phone number!

Installazione

Estrai e carica mailgo.zip nella directory /wp-content/plugins/
Attiva il plugin attraverso il menu ‘Plugin’ in WordPress

I don’t know about you, but my clients, who tend to be older, slightly technophobic gentlemen, tend to take offense at the fact that pressing an email address doesn’t automatically open Outlook, or asks them to associate the clicked link with an app. This solved the issue by giving them clear, easy options with mailto and tel links. Haven’t heard a peep since! Wishing the author continued success!

Works right out of the box to make mailto and tel links actually work properly for users instead of opening a default email program or tel links not working properly on desktops. I love the open in Whatsapp functionality for phone numbers, just make sure you format then properly or they wont open. Thank you for making this code easily available with this wp plugin so I don’t have to code it myself.
