TranslatePress – Translate Multilingual sites

Descrizione

Built the WordPress way, TranslatePress – Multilingual is a GPL and self hosted translation plugin, meaning you’ll own all your translations, forever. It’s the fastest way to create a bilingual or multilingual site.

FAQ

Where are my translations stored?

All the translation are stored locally in your server’s database.

What types of content can I translate?

TranslatePress – Multilingual plugin works out of the box with WooCommerce, custom post types, complex themes and site builders, so you’ll be able to translate any type of content.

How is it different from other multilingual & translation plugins like WPML or Polylang?

TranslatePress is easier to use and more intuitive altogether. No more switching between the editor, string translation interfaces or badly translated plugins. You can now translate the full page content directly from the front-end. This makes TranslatePress a great alternative to plugins like Polylang and WPML.

How do I start to translate my WordPress site?

After installing the plugin, select your secondary language and click “Translate Site” to start translating your entire site exactly as it looks in the front-end.

Will it slow down my website?

TranslatePress will have little impact on your site speed. For more details see Top WordPress Translation Plugins Compared Based on Page Load Time

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes, TranslatePress works out of the box with WooCommerce. You can use it to translate WooCommerce products and build a multilingual store.

There were some bugs and compatibility issues with TranslatePress and NextGen and some other plugins but support helped me sort everything out and now it works well again. I find the use of plugin super user friendly - easy to set up, understand and use. When you fix a text in the original language, the translation gets lost and you have to enter the translation again which is inconvenient when you want to fix just small bits that don't necessarily influence the translation. However, they recently added a translation history option which makes it much quicker and easier to fix the translated text too. Before that, it happened that I had to translate the whole paragraph from scratch because I didn't know it will disappear. Overall a great plugin with great options like location & language detection, SEO friendly, etc.

Thank you to the team at Translatepress for providing an excellent translation plugin that's so easy to use and that takes seconds to translate any given page! We have tried many different plugins, including WPML, but Translatepress exceeds all expectations. Their support is great too, they are quick to provide to-the-point solutions and will work with you to cover all possible scenarios and always find a solution to any problem you may have. Special thanks to Razvan for all his hard work! 🙂 Highly recommended!

A very good Plug-in. Works very well, does all it says ... Good online instructions, easy to follow for things such as how to navigate the incredibly complicated Google site!

I am very happy so far with TranslatePress. Easy to implement and translations are working great. Their support was very responsive with a few little glitches I had at the outset.

I've tried most of the leading ML plugins - so far* this is the cleanest, most complete and easiest ML plugin. - w/o any documentation, I popped it into my site and started working - very clean native support for menus - single translation interface - plays well with Elementor and my theme (Jupiter X) - translations are local and can be easily consolidated into blocks This is a great alternative to cloud-based solutions - basically, the same machine / manual translation model, but a lot more control. Ran into just one issue with Elementor's animated headline - resolved by changing the animation type. But other than that, smooth as a baby's butt! * Literally just started testing it today, but I was productive so quickly (translating and reviewing entire pages in 15 minutes). Nice work!

I run bilingual literary magazine and this rich plugin makes it possible. TranslatePress team folks are friendly and their support is just awesome. We've tested few other plugins, but among good ones, this one's truly the best, for us--bilingual--literary magazine.
