How it works

  1. The customer chooses “Cryptocurrency (Trybit)” at checkout.
  2. The plugin creates an invoice through the Trybit API and redirects the customer to the Trybit payment page.
  3. The customer picks a coin and network and pays from any wallet or exchange, including Web3 wallets via WalletConnect.
  4. Trybit notifies your store with a signed POSTBACK and the plugin marks the order as paid.

Why Trybit

  • Fees from 0.4% per payment depending on your turnover; no setup fee, no monthly fee, free withdrawals.
  • The platform has maintained 99.9% uptime while handling payments, payouts, and exchange operations.
  • No chargebacks: a confirmed blockchain payment cannot be disputed.
  • Automatic conversion of incoming payments to stablecoins to protect revenue from volatility.
  • Automatic withdrawals by schedule and amount.
  • Mass payouts to contractors, suppliers and affiliates from the same account.
  • Cryptocurrency exchange inside your Trybit account.
  • AML checks and payment statistics in your Trybit account.

Plugin features

  • Works with the classic checkout and the WooCommerce Cart & Checkout blocks.
  • Compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
  • Signed payment notifications (JWT HS256) with an API cross-check: a forged request cannot mark an order as paid.
  • Background status check every 10 minutes through the API, so orders get confirmed even if a notification is lost.
  • Test mode: check the whole flow before going live by placing an order and confirming the invoice without a real payment.
  • “Trybit payment” box on the order screen with invoice details, “Check status” and “Cancel invoice” actions.
  • Configurable invoice lifetime, order status after payment, handling of partial payments and expired invoices.
  • Limit the cryptocurrencies offered on the payment page.
  • Plugin interface in English, Russian, Spanish and Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal).
  • Payment page follows your site language (23 languages) or uses a fixed language of your choice.
  • Sends only the order ID, amount, currency and billing email to Trybit; no other customer data leaves your store.
  • Detailed logging in WooCommerce Status Logs.
  • Compatible with popular checkout, multi-currency and order-number plugins (see FAQ).

External services

This plugin connects to the Trybit payment service. It is required for the plugin to work: without a Trybit account the payment method cannot be used.

  • What is sent and when: when a customer places an order with the Trybit payment method, the plugin sends the order ID, order total, order currency and the customer billing email to https://api.trybit.com to create an invoice. The plugin also queries https://api.trybit.com for invoice status (periodically for unpaid orders, when a payment notification arrives and when an administrator clicks “Check status”) and to cancel invoices. The customer is redirected to the payment page at https://pay.trybit.com.
  • Who provides the service: Trybit, https://trybit.com/
  • Terms and privacy: Terms of use, Privacy policy

The plugin does not collect analytics and does not send any data to third parties other than Trybit.

Installazione

Setup takes about 15 minutes.

  1. Sign up at app.trybit.com and create a project (“My projects” “Create new project” “On my website”, CMS: WooCommerce).
  2. Install the plugin from the WordPress plugin directory (Plugins Add New search for “Trybit”) or upload the ZIP, then activate it. WooCommerce 8.2 or newer must be active.
  3. Go to WooCommerce Settings Payments Trybit.
  4. Enter the API Key, Shop ID and Secret Key from your project settings (Integration and API section) and enable the method.
  5. Copy the URL for notifications, Success URL and Fail URL shown on the settings page into the matching fields of your Trybit project.
  6. Test the integration: new projects start in test mode, so you can place an order and confirm the invoice without payment from the “Payments” section of your Trybit account. See Integration testing.
  7. Request to leave test mode in your Trybit account to start accepting real payments.

FAQ

How much does it cost?

The plugin is free. Trybit charges 1.9% per payment on the Basic plan (custom rates from 0.4% for high-volume merchants); withdrawals are free, there is no setup fee, no monthly fee and no minimum volume. The rate depends on your turnover, so contact a Trybit manager to discuss custom terms. See the pricing page for details.

Do I need a Trybit account?

Yes. The plugin creates invoices in your Trybit project and receives payment confirmations from it. Registration is free.

How long does it take to set up?

About 15 minutes: sign up, create a project, verify site ownership, paste the API Key, Shop ID and Secret Key into the plugin settings and copy three URLs back into the project. New projects start in test mode, so you can check the whole flow without real payments.

Will I be exposed to price volatility?

The invoice is created in your store currency. The exchange rate is locked when the invoice is created and stays fixed for its lifetime. You can also enable automatic conversion of incoming payments to stablecoins in your Trybit account.

Which URL do I enter as “URL for notifications” in Trybit?

https://your-site.com/?wc-api=trybit — the exact address, together with the Success and Fail URLs, is displayed on the plugin settings page.

Does the plugin work with the block-based checkout?

Yes. Both the classic [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode and the Cart & Checkout blocks are supported.

The payment method is not shown at checkout

Check that the method is enabled in WooCommerce Settings Payments, that the API Key, Shop ID and Secret Key are filled in, and that your store currency is in the supported list above. The method is hidden automatically for unsupported currencies.

The order stays “Pending payment” after the customer paid

Check that the notification URL in your Trybit project is correct and that your site is reachable from the internet (no basic auth, no firewall blocking Trybit). Even without notifications, the plugin checks unpaid invoices every 10 minutes through the API. You can also click “Check status” in the “Trybit payment” box on the order screen. Enable the debug log in the gateway settings to see details in WooCommerce Status Logs.

What happens if the customer pays only part of the invoice?

Trybit reports the invoice as partially paid. Depending on your settings, the order is put on hold with a note, or only a note is added. Once the remaining amount is paid the order is marked as paid.

What happens if the customer does not pay?

Invoices expire after the configured lifetime (24 hours by default). The plugin can cancel the WooCommerce order automatically when the invoice expires.

Can I choose which coins are shown to the customer?

Yes, in the gateway settings (“Cryptocurrencies offered”). Leave the field empty to use all currencies enabled in your Trybit project.

Are refunds supported?

Cryptocurrency payments are irreversible, so refunds must be arranged manually with the customer. The plugin does not process refunds.

Is it secure?

All requests to Trybit go over HTTPS and are authorized with your API key. Payment notifications are signed with your project Secret Key (JWT HS256) and the plugin additionally verifies every notification against the Trybit API, so a forged request cannot mark an order as paid. Your keys are stored only in your WordPress database and are never exposed to the browser.

I used the old CryptoCloud plugin. What should I do?

Install this plugin, enter the keys from your Trybit project and deactivate the old plugin. The notification URL that the Trybit dashboard pre-fills for the WooCommerce module (/?wc-api=wc_cryptocloud) keeps working, so no changes are needed in the project settings. While both plugins are active, the old one keeps handling notifications and this plugin shows a warning.

Which checkout, currency and other plugins is it compatible with?

Trybit is a standard redirect gateway, so it works with checkout replacements such as Fluid Checkout, CheckoutWC, CartFlows and FunnelKit, with the WooCommerce Cart & Checkout blocks, and with page builders that render the classic checkout (Elementor, Divi). Multi-currency plugins (CURCY, WOOCS, WPML Multi-currency, Aelia) are supported: the invoice is created in the order currency; if the selected currency is not supported by Trybit, the method is hidden. Sequential order number plugins are supported (orders are matched by invoice ID, the order number is only displayed in Trybit). The background status check uses Action Scheduler, so it also runs when WP-Cron is disabled. Payment notifications are POST requests to /?wc-api=trybit; page caches ignore them, but make sure security plugins or a WAF (Wordfence, Cloudflare, ModSecurity) do not block POST requests from Trybit to this address.

Where can I get support?

Through the support center at trybit.com/support, by email at support@trybit.com.
