Quali browser sono supportati?

For an optimal Web Story creation experience, we recommend using the latest version of commonly popular web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).

Is Web Stories for WordPress compatible with other WordPress plugins?

Because the Web Story format is new to the web ecosystem, some WordPress plugins may need extra support. We are working to improve compatibility with the Web Story editor and encourage you to file any bugs and requests in the support forum.

Can I use Web Stories for WordPress on a touch screen?

The Web Story editor is not currently supported on touch screen devices, such as a smartphone or tablet.

How do I make Web Stories appear in Google and other search engines?

For better chances of being discovered, after publishing your Web Story, we encourage you to embed it into a regular article or post on your site by using the Web Stories Gutenberg block.

While the default sitemaps in WordPress and most popular plugins handle it automatically, we encourage you to check that your Web Stories are included in your XML sitemaps.

How can I optimize Web Stories to show up on search engines?

Web Stories created using Web Stories for WordPress use what’s provided in the Document tab inside the editor to generate schema.org and social meta-data automatically. Ensure you review and update all requested metadata, including cover image, excerpt and publisher logo. Please see SEO for Web Stories for further SEO guidance.

How do I implement Analytics in my Web Stories?

There are two ways to include analytics in your Web Stories:

  • Add your Google Analytics ID in the “Editor Settings”.
  • If you use the Site Kit by Google WordPress plugin, you can set up Google Analytics there.

What do I do about an AMP validation issue in Search Console?

Web Stories are powered by AMP, which adds some restrictions on a page’s allowed markup. In some cases, other WordPress plugins use disallowed markup. We recommend temporarily disabling these plugins and reaching out to our support forum.

Talk about finding a way to bring more traffic to your website! Think about it, FB, IG, Pinterest all do just the same thing as web stories, but they keep all the traffic to themselves. With this, you can add the same value for your user, while generating a ton of traffic. And compared to social stories, you can edit web stories at any time. Now the plugin is not perfect yet, but it is completely usable and has gone a long way since its first betas.

This plugin is so tedious to use. I expect much better from Google. There are so many bugs, like drag and drop of each slide not working properly. And it is not intuitive at all. There is no easy way to replace an image to keep the same settings. You have to use shortcuts keys to change what is in front/back. The plugin is cut off in the WordPress browser and I cannot find a way to open separately. It is difficult to tell how to replace pieces of the template with what you want, such as LOGO on the cover slides. I am only still trying to figure this out because of the Google/SEO connections. Over an hour into this and I still do not have a story to use.

I published my first Web Story and when tested I get the "Not A Valid AMP Page" notification. Validation Issue = Custom JavaScript is not allowed. Does anyone happen to know why I'm getting this message and what I can do to resolve it? If the story link would be helpful to answer this question, let me know and I can add it to the comments. Thanks!

This plugin makes it super easy to make Google Web Stories--I love how it is integrated directly into WordPress. I wish it had a setting for excluding Web Stories from search results on your site, but the helpful Forum support staff pointed me to a mini-plugin which did that for me. Also, I find the interface a little confusing to use. It's definitely not as easy as Canva! But I'm sure it will get easier with more practice.

I normally don't go out of my way to submit reviews but good lord I would expect much better from Google. In Canva it would take me less than 5 minutes to create a slide of stories. In this plugin I'm spending 30 minutes to try and figure out the most basic features like how to delete text or a photo, or how to make the box so its just an outline and not solid. Very basic features which sites like Canva have made extremely user friendly. It should not take me more than 5-10 minutes to create a slide show. This plugin needs some serious improvement. What a pain in the butt!

Wouldve been nice to use the plugin but cant get rid of "not a valid JSON response" uninstalled every single plugin, changed my theme, used different browsers, changed my permalinks, reinstall the plugin and still I get that message on my WordPress site. All it did was frustrate me since I now need to reinstall and reset up my plugins and settings.
