FoundHint – Local SEO Plugin to Get Found by Local Customers
FoundHint is a free local SEO plugin for WordPress that helps you manage your Google Business Profile info, LocalBusiness schema, audits, posts, citations and reviews from your WordPress dashboard.
When your business details are right everywhere, from your website to your Google Business Profile, local customers find you, trust you, and visit you.
That is what local SEO is really about, and FoundHint gives you the local SEO tools for WordPress to get it right without code.
Why FoundHint Is the Best Local SEO Plugin for WordPress?

A WordPress Local SEO Plugin That’s Free Where It Counts
Multiple locations, Google Business Profile sync, schema, the audit and review replies are all included in the free version. No upsell to add your second branch.
Business Information Management
Stop typing the same details everywhere. Add them once, in one place:
- Business name
- Business type, primary category and additional categories
- Business description, with a history of earlier versions
- Phone number, up to two more phone numbers, email address and website
- Opening date
- Price range
- Social profiles and directories
- Booking and messaging links: appointment link, texting number and WhatsApp
- Business hours, including special hours for holidays
- Services
- Service area
- Logo, cover photo and gallery photos
FoundHint uses this information across your whole local SEO setup.
NAP Consistency for WordPress
Your name, address and phone (NAP) are stored once and reused in your schema, your audit and your Google Business Profile. That single source of truth is the easiest way to keep NAP consistent, and it lays the groundwork for local citation management (Coming soon).
Business Categories
Tell search engines exactly what you do. Search Google’s own list of categories, set a primary category and add secondary categories. Clear categories keep your business described the same way everywhere.
Multi-Location SEO Plugin for WordPress
Run many branches from one WordPress site, free. Switch between them from the bar at the top of every screen. FoundHint is a local SEO plugin for multiple locations, built for franchises, chains and agencies.
Location Management
Each location keeps its own details:
- Location name
- Address line 1 and address line 2
- City, state or region, country and postal code
- Map position, shown on a Google map
- Phone, website and opening date
- Service area: the places you serve beyond your address
Business details and location details are kept separate, so your setup grows easily when you add more locations.
What Each Location Gets?
- Business information
- Address and contact information
- Opening hours
- Services
- Photos, attributes and reviews
Opening Hours Management
Set your hours for each day of the week as Open, Closed, or Open 24 Hours. Multiple opening periods per day are supported, so split hours (like a lunch break) work too. Add special hours for holidays and one-off dates. Hours are saved in a structured format for use in schema and on Google.
Service Management
List the services you offer. Each service can include:
- Service name and slug
- Description
- Price and currency
- URL
- Status
- A matching ready-made service from Google’s list for your category
Local Business Schema for WordPress
Get accurate structured data with no coding. As a local schema plugin for WordPress, FoundHint builds LocalBusiness schema from your saved business, location, hours and service details:
- LocalBusiness and business subtypes
- PostalAddress
- Geo coordinates
- Opening hours
- Services
- Contact information and social profiles
- Areas served
Every location is published. No separate schema-only data to maintain.
How to Add Local Business Schema in WordPress?
Fill in your business and location details (or import them from Google), and FoundHint publishes valid JSON-LD for you. Open the Schema screen to see exactly what search engines see.
Schema Ownership (No Duplicate Schema)
Already using another SEO plugin? FoundHint detects Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO and SEOPress. If one of them already outputs LocalBusiness schema, FoundHint can stand aside so your pages never carry duplicate markup. FoundHint never changes or disables another plugin’s settings.
A Yoast Local SEO and Rank Math Local SEO Alternative
Looking for a Yoast Local SEO alternative or a Rank Math local SEO alternative? FoundHint focuses only on local search: multiple locations, Google Business Profile sync and review replies, all free. Keep your current SEO plugin for content and on-page SEO, and let FoundHint handle the local side.
Local SEO Checklist for WordPress: The Audit
Find out what’s missing before it hurts your visibility. Run an audit right from your dashboard. It works as a built-in local SEO checklist for WordPress and checks:
- Business information: business name, type, description, phone number, logo, services, social profiles
- Location information: complete address, coordinates, primary location, status
- Opening hours: hours configured and complete
- Structured data: schema published, opening hours in schema, conflicts with other plugins
- Website signals: HTTPS and site address
- Google Business Profile: connected, mapped, and whether the name and phone match your website
- More website checks: homepage availability, basic indexability, canonical URL (Coming soon)
Local SEO Health Score
See your progress at a glance with one simple score, with a trend over time. It covers business information, location, schema, opening hours, website signals and your Google connection.
Note: the Health Score shows your setup progress. It is not a Google ranking score and does not show your position in Google Search or Google Maps.
Local SEO Issues
Every problem found is sorted by severity: Critical, High, Medium, Low and Passed. Each issue explains what’s wrong and why it matters, in plain words.
Safe Optimization Workflow
You stay in control. Supported fixes follow a safe process:
Detect Explain Apply Recheck
A one-click fix is offered only when the right value is already known, for example your own site address with https:// in front of it. Nothing is made up: anything that needs your judgement stays a finding with a recommendation. A fix is applied only when you press its button, and the audit runs again straight away so the score shows the result. FoundHint never silently makes risky changes to your website or to third-party services.
- Preview and confirm each change before it is applied (Coming soon)
How to Improve Local SEO on WordPress
Run the audit, fix the Critical and High issues first, then make sure your website and Google Business Profile match. Complete, consistent business data is the foundation for showing up in the Google map pack.
Centralized Business Data
Your Business Location Services data is one source of truth. The audit, the schema, your Google Business Profile and other features all reuse it. Less duplicate work, fewer mistakes.
Google Business Profile WordPress Plugin
One-Click Google Business Profile Connection
Connect your Google account with one button: no Google Cloud project, client ID or API key needed. FoundHint finds the Business Profile locations your account manages, and each Google listing is linked to its own FoundHint location.
Google Business Profile Data Comparison
Spot mismatches before customers do. Compare Website Data vs Google Data side by side:
- Business name and description
- Phone and website
- Address and map position
- Opening hours
- Categories
- Services
- Social and booking links
See what matches and what’s different, then decide which version to keep.
Import from Google
Bring your details in from Google in a guided import: name, description, categories, address, phone numbers, website, opening date, opening hours, services, service area, social and booking links. Refresh from Google reads your attributes and photos, and only fills fields that are empty here, so nothing you set is overwritten.
Send Updates to Google
Send supported updates from FoundHint to Google: business information, phone numbers, website, opening date, categories, opening hours, special hours, services, service area, attributes, social and booking links, and photos. Review the changes first; anything left empty here is never sent as a deletion. Nothing gets blindly overwritten.
Google Review Management in WordPress
Google Business Profile Reviews
See your customer reviews right inside your WordPress dashboard, for each location, with the reviewer’s photo and any photos the customer attached. Filter by star rating, reply status and review status (live, edited, or removed by the reviewer), search by name or words, page through 5 to 100 reviews at a time, and export the list, or just the reviews you select, to CSV. Reviews a customer later removes from Google stay readable here, clearly marked, and no longer count toward your rating.
Review Replies
Reply to reviews directly from FoundHint: post, edit or delete your reply. No more switching between WordPress and Google.

FAQ
-
What is the best local SEO plugin for WordPress?
-
The best choice depends on your needs. If you want multiple locations, Google Business Profile sync, LocalBusiness schema, an audit and review replies in a free WordPress local SEO plugin, FoundHint covers all of them without a Google Cloud project.
-
Is FoundHint a free WordPress local SEO plugin?
-
Yes. Multiple locations, schema, the audit, Google Business Profile sync and review replies are free.
-
Do I need a Google Cloud project, API key or client secret?
-
No. That is the point of the sign-in service described under External services. Press Continue with Google and you are done. If you prefer your own Google project, the Advanced section on the Google screen accepts one.
-
Does my business data go through your servers?
-
No. The sign-in passes through FoundHint Connect; your business data never does. Once your site holds a token, it reads Google directly.
-
Where are my Google tokens stored?
-
In your own site’s database, encrypted with a key derived from your WordPress salts. They are never written to logs or shown on screen. Disconnecting removes them and asks Google to revoke them.
-
What happens if I disconnect and connect again?
-
Your locations stay as they are. Each location remembers its own Google listing, so connecting the same account again links them back instead of importing them a second time.
-
Will this fight with my SEO plugin over schema?
-
No. FoundHint detects when another plugin already publishes business schema and stands aside, because two descriptions of one business on a page is worse than one. You can override that choice on the Schema screen.
-
Is FoundHint a Yoast Local SEO or Rank Math local SEO alternative?
-
Yes. It handles local search (locations, LocalBusiness schema, Google Business Profile and reviews) and works alongside Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO and SEOPress, so you don’t need their local add-ons.
-
Can I have more than one location?
-
Yes, free. Each Google listing keeps its own location, with its own address, phone numbers, opening hours, services, photos and reviews.
-
How do I add local business schema in WordPress?
-
Enter your business and location details, or import them from Google. FoundHint publishes LocalBusiness JSON-LD for every location automatically. No code needed.
-
What is the difference between local SEO and organic SEO?
-
Organic SEO helps your pages rank in regular search results. Local SEO helps you appear for nearby searches and in the Google map pack, which depends on accurate business details, consistent NAP, schema, your Google Business Profile and reviews. FoundHint focuses on the local side.
-
Is the Health Score my Google ranking?
-
No. It shows how complete and consistent your local SEO setup is. Rankings across your area are what the Local Ranking Grid will show (Coming soon).
-
What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?
-
Nothing is removed unless you ask for it. Turn on Delete data on uninstall in Settings first if you want a clean removal. Google credentials are always removed, because a leftover token is a live grant to your account.
-
Will FoundHint help me rank in the Google map pack?
-
It helps with the parts you control: complete and consistent business details, accurate LocalBusiness schema, a matching Google Business Profile, and replies to your reviews. No plugin can guarantee rankings, which also depend on distance, competition and your reviews.
-
Does it work for service area businesses?
-
Yes. Each location can list the places you serve beyond your address, and that service area is used in your schema and can be sent to your Google Business Profile.
-
Can I reply to Google reviews from WordPress?
-
Yes. Read, filter and search your reviews for each location, then post, edit or delete your reply without opening Google.
-
Does it work with WooCommerce?
-
Yes. FoundHint runs alongside WooCommerce, so stores with physical locations can manage their local SEO from the same dashboard.
-
Will FoundHint slow down my website?
-
No. Google is never contacted on visitor-facing pages, and no scripts or stylesheets are loaded from remote hosts.
