Descrizione
When you upload an image, Image Meta fills in attachment fields based on your settings. You can set each of the following from the file name, IPTC/XMP caption, or leave it blank:
- Title
- Caption
- Description
- Alt text (from title, caption, description, or blank)
Modern cameras and editors often store captions in XMP (dc:title / dc:description) rather than classic IPTC. This plugin reads both.
Configure the plugin under Settings Image Meta.
Installazione

image-metafolder to/wp-content/plugins/, or install through the Plugins screen. - Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen.

FAQ
-
Does this change existing images?
-
No. It applies when new images are uploaded (or when attachment metadata is regenerated).
-
Why wasn’t my caption imported?
-
WordPress core only reads classic IPTC (APP13) and some EXIF fields. Many apps write XMP instead. Image Meta reads XMP title/description as well.
