    Ciao,
    sto riscontrando un problema con WooCommerce riguardo l’invio delle email e la configurazione del campo “Email mittente”. Ecco una descrizione dettagliata del problema e le azioni già intraprese:

    Problema:

    1. Le email generate da WooCommerce, come quelle per “Nuovo account cliente”, non vengono inviate. Tuttavia:
       • Le email di test inviate tramite WP Mail SMTP funzionano correttamente.
       • Altre email del sito (es. recupero password di WordPress) vengono inviate correttamente.
    2. Il campo “Email mittente” nelle impostazioni delle email di WooCommerce rimane sempre vuoto, anche dopo aver inserito un indirizzo valido e salvato. Ad ogni aggiornamento, il valore sparisce.

    Azioni già intraprese:

    1. Reinstallazione di WooCommerce:
       Ho disattivato ed eliminato il plugin, poi l’ho reinstallato. Il problema persiste.
    2. Disattivazione di tutti i plugin:
       Ho disattivato tutti i plugin tranne WooCommerce e WP Mail SMTP per escludere conflitti, ma non è cambiato nulla.
    3. Cambio temporaneo di tema:
       Ho testato con un tema predefinito di WordPress (Twenty Twenty-Two), ma il problema si presenta ugualmente.
    4. Configurazione di WP Mail SMTP:
       • Le email di test funzionano perfettamente.
       • Ho verificato che il server SMTP sia configurato correttamente e funzioni.
    5. Log di WooCommerce:
       Non ci sono errori evidenti nei log delle email o negli strumenti diagnostici forniti da WooCommerce.

    Ulteriori Informazioni:

    • Il sito usa la versione più recente di WordPress e WooCommerce.
    • Ho provato anche a disabilitare temporaneamente la cache, senza risultati.

    Vi chiedo gentilmente di aiutarmi a identificare la causa di questo problema. Può essere legato a:

    • Una configurazione anomala nel database?
    • Un bug del plugin?
    • Un problema di compatibilità non rilevato?

    Quando il cliente cerca di finalizzare il pagamento attraverso carta di credito, quindi dopo aver inserito tutti i dati gi appare questo messaggio che gli impedisce di proseguire con l’acquisto bloccando l’operazione.

  Ciao @lucio1980,
  da quanto descritto non posso essere sicuro al 100% se l’errore che stai affrontando riguarda soltanto il database o anche come hai sviluppato il sito, anche se come hai detto bene tu molto spesso questi problemi ricadono sul primo caso 🙂

  Comunque sia, giusto per sicurezza prima di presentarti la soluzione che uso io ti invito a leggere nel dettaglio il documento del Codex che descrive per filo a per segno come trasferire un sito WordPress e presenta anche alcune soluzioni alla risoluzione dei problemi più comuni.

  Fatto questo, se il problema dovesse persistere ed è relativo al database ti confesso che io uso con molto piacere uno script PHP molto potente che permette di fare dei search-replace anche molto complessi all’interno del database: search replace Interconnect.

  Generalmente una volta scaricato lo .zip ed estratto il suo contenuto io vado a rinominare la cartella con wpsrdb e la carico direttamente nella root del mio progetto online.

  Ovviamente il progetto online deve essere completo di tutti i files, del database importato (anche con il dominio utilizzato in sviluppo va benissimo) e con il file wp-config.php modificato per collegarsi al databae online.

  Una volta che tutto è online non dovrai far altro che accedere allo script con http://tuodominio.it/wpsrdb/ e ti si presenterà una comoda schermata che ti permetterà di specificare quale sia il vecchio domino che vuoi sostituire con quello nuovo. Assicurati di fare una Dry Run per vedere quali saranno le modifiche prima ancora di lanciare la sostituzione.

  Questo script è molto potente perché permette di fare delle sostituzioni anche per le installazioni WordPress MultiSite, cosa che per anni è stato veramente doloroso.

  Ci sono sicuramente altri test che ti potremmo far fare, ma questa operazione funziona nel 99% dei casi. Il mio consiglio è di iniziare da questa cancellando tutto quello che hai fatto online fino ad ora per poi ripartire da zero con i file e il database della tua versione locale.

  non credo che una descrizione estesa sia necessaria perché in fin dei conti gran parte della procedura da te svolta è descritta anche all’interno del documento precedentemente collegato da @gmosso: https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

  La cosa che trovo molto particolare è il fatto che lo script PHP di Interconnect non abbia funzionato perché il sottoscritto è un grande utilizzatore di questo progetto e non gli ha mai dato problemi, anzi devo dire che lavora egregiamente bene anche per i multisite che tendenzialmente “nascondono” alcune informazioni in dati serializzati che sono impossibili da modificare andando a modificare soltanto site_url e home.

  La procedura che hai descritto per utilizzare lo script mi sembra corretta, anche io prendo l’intera cartella scaricata da Interconnect (generalmente la rinomino in wpsrdb in modo che non vada in conflitto con le URL dato che a volte può succedere) e poi mi collego direttamente con http://miourl.it/wpsrdb che nel tuo caso sarebbe stato: http://www.pulminocontadino.it/wordpress/wpsrdb/.

  Oltre a questo, il mio consiglio spassionato sarebbe quello di portare il sito in locale e lavorare là sopra e successivamente trasferire nuovamente tutto online. Lavorare sulla propria macchina permette di essere molto più veloci, utilizzare strumenti di versionamento (come Git) e non dover essere dipendenti di un server online.

  Mi accorgo che sto andando oltre, sono contento che il tuo problema si sia risolto e segno questa discussione come risolta.
